This year’s goodie bag is a representation of the 1970’s Friends of the Earth motto: Reduce – Reuse – Recycle.
There is so much currently accessible to us all, seemingly infinite streams of publications, teachings, story telling, journalism, movies, songs, and videos. You all know what I am talking about. 💝
As I thought about this year’s Goodie-Love-Goodie bag, I wanted to remember gifts already given, infinitely useful and inspiring. The tendency to find more, to find new, fell away and I wanted to share some old and precious favorites that have meant a great deal to me over the years.
As a thank you for joining me in 2024, we have made a goodie bag of valuable rememberings that we have pulled together from the last five years for you to enjoy:
Here are some things that I enjoy, that are not my own creations.
- A chill out Spotify List from Amanda Barnet – for lazy winter/summer afternoons.
- A song that moves me, from Amy Mindell – Deep in the Night.
- A podcast that inspired me in my physical rebuild, created by the incredible Stacey Sims, on Women & Fitness
- My favorite author who I will be reading on my porch, Colm Tóibín’s follow-up to his earlier novel Brooklyn, Long Island
- The high-quality Reishi that I love to add to my Macha for a soothing afternoon chill-out beverage. A calming, healing tonic. Yum!
- For those brave enough for an icy and medicinal plunge, here is what I have used for my daily hot-cold-therapy as a part of my recovery.
- From your porch seat enjoy visiting the NGV in Melbourne and the Art Institute of Chicago through their virtual channels. Not exactly the same as being there in person, but it’s extraordinary to be able to visit from home nonetheless!
- A deeply moving, inspiring movie about rewilding an English country estate and the return of indigenous nature.
Feel free to share your own inspirations and links to nourishment in the comments below.
Wishing you a wonderful holiday season.
